臣亮言：先帝创业未半而中道崩殂，今天下三分，益州疲弊，此诚危急存亡之秋也。然侍卫之臣不懈于内，忠志之士忘身于外者，盖追先帝之殊遇，欲报之于陛下也。诚宜开张圣听，以光先帝遗德，恢弘志士之气，不宜妄自菲薄，引喻失义，以塞忠谏之路也。

I, Zhuge Liang, humbly speak: When the late Emperor began his reign, he was unfortunately cut short by death. Now the kingdom is split into three, and Yizhou is struggling. This is truly a crisis in which our survival is at stake. However, the guards remain steadfast and loyal, and the brave forget themselves in devotion to the state, all in remembrance of the late Emperor's kindness and hoping to repay it to Your Majesty. It is fitting that Your Majesty hearken to these faithful words so as to shine a light on the virtues of the late Emperor, restore the confidence of the loyal subjects, and not diminish oneself in modesty or go against justice in order to block the path of loyal advice.

宫中府中，俱为一体，陟罚臧否，不宜异同。若有作奸犯科，及为忠善者，宜付有司论其刑赏，以昭陛下平明之治；不宜偏私，使内外异法也。

The palace and the government are two parts of a whole and should not be different in rewards and punishments. Those who commit crimes and those who show loyalty and goodness should be judged by officials, in order to display Your Majesty's just, clear administration. There should not be any favoritism shown, lest there be different laws within and without.

侍中、侍郎郭攸之、费祎、黄皓、弘历、传曰：「器满志满，衡短尺长，案臣所见，当是陛下之明察事理，度量衡也。」

Dependents like Guo Youzhi, Fei Yi, Huang Hao, Hong Li advise that "one who is capable should fill the office, while those lacking should be replaced; this is what we observe, and it is all because of Your Majesty's intelligent management, wise decisions, and fair assessments."

今当远离，临表涕零，不知所言。

Now, on the verge of departing, I can only shed tears and cannot find words to say.
