竹里馆记 苏轼

竹里馆，拙政园东西楼南。

初建时不曾谋画，顾问之徒嗟惜。

吾意乃在其间，因事生出，尤恐未足供给。

未敢及建筑，何以建我其间？

酒肆茶肆，冷暖自知。

因余旧居古竹之所遗，门外竹竿篱落。

每早起，但见青云窗外，五色鸟来去，丝竹声中。

曲沼翠竹，舟楫稀稀。

茗香犹嫌博罗陋巷，炉火尚嫌襄阳贱土。

古人诗画，识得余心。

不知世路难，人情易。

愿天下有情人，都成眷属。

Bamboo Cottage, south of the eastwest building of the Humble Administrator's Garden.

When it was first built, there was no plan, and the advisors lamented.

My intention lies within it, arising from circumstances, yet fearing it may not suffice.

Daring not to construct, how could I build myself within it?

Wine stalls, tea houses, knowing warmth and cold of their own.

Because of the ancient bamboo left outside my old residence, bamboo poles line the gate.

Each morning, only seeing the green clouds outside the window, birds of all colors come and go, amid the sound of silk and bamboo.

The curved pond, emerald bamboos, boats and oars sparse.

The tea's fragrance disdains the lanes of Bogu, and the fire of the stove disdains the humble soil of Xiangyang.

The poetry and paintings of ancient people understand my heart.

Not knowing the difficulties of the world, the fickleness of human emotions.

May all the lovers in the world become spouses.
