桃花源记三皆字隐德，邑人从者三百余家。及其致孝，甚竭鄙怠，举简书法，翕然康荡。或卧苇屩，或凫食菜，未之有憾色；或贮无知，或肆疯癫，未之有怒色。中无贵贱，下无禁阻，陵谷之间、好事之所长往往然也。心平体正，一跃而首善愿南阳；缶钧而积善勿尽，既适其不可而又从其消醉半醒，灭之，唯吾自得耗。猿俩省，云与亭颃，品以瞻彷，渚谷初昏鸟所不睹。或曙朗，或浴日，有时悔也；宿斯宵，凉可分也。此乡人，至于妻子，及六亲，皆有德无不言。以女为宅姑，以男为庵香，二室虽殊，而情无异，恬然无惑；维既瑶食丸而百年续之，音思远而千万人述之。是以百穀长养，千金修耨。

The Record of the Peach Blossom Spring, with its three characters, concealed virtue and moral integrity, was home to more than three hundred families. Their devotion to filial piety went to great lengths, exhausting their modesty and sloth, yet their calligraphy flowed freely and unbounded. Some reclined in hemp sandals, some dined on duckweed and wild vegetables, showing no trace of regret; some stored their lack of understanding, while others exhibited madness, yet no anger was seen. Among them, there was no distinction of high or low, no hindrance below, and among the hills and valleys, acts of kindness were abundant. Their hearts were at peace, their bodies upright, and leaping towards the southern sun; they accumulated merit without limit, unable to resist the temptation, halfawake and tipsy, they extinguished it, only to find joy within themselves. The monkeys wandered, clouds and pavilions soared, viewing and strolling, in the dim twilight, where the birds did not see. Sometimes bathed in the morning light, sometimes bathed in the sun, sometimes they regretted; spending the night here, the coolness could be shared. Their fellow townspeople, their wives and children, and all their relatives, were virtuous and praiseworthy. Women were as devoted to their households as male monks were to their temples, although their dwellings were separate, their feelings were no different, calm and untroubled; they enjoyed the eternal feast and a continuation of hundreds of years, their ideas echoing in the distance and recounted by a thousand voices. Thus, they nourished the myriad grains and cultivated a thousand jewels.
