掩耳盗铃原文及翻译

有一个人，他听说过一个很神奇的铃声，据说听到这个铃声的人都会变得非常聪明。于是，他决定去偷这个铃铛来听一听。他找到了这个铃铛，但是当他捂住耳朵去听的时候，却发现并没有听到任何声音。

There was a man who had heard of a magical bell, which was said to make people very intelligent when they heard its sound. So, he decided to steal the bell and listen to it himself. He found the bell, but when he covered his ears to listen, he realized that there was no sound at all.
